Will I be seen by a female doctor?
Yes. Every consultation and procedure at Ium is with Dr. Kim Hyun Jin, a female OB-GYN specialist — you won't be handed to someone else.
Can I be seen in English?
Yes. Your symptoms, test results, options and costs are explained in English, so nothing important is lost in translation.
Do I need an appointment?
An appointment is recommended so you're seen without a long wait, especially if you'd like unhurried time to talk. You can book through the contact form, KakaoTalk, WhatsApp or by phone.
Do I need Korean health insurance?
No. You can be seen as a private-pay patient — just ask for an estimate when you book. If you do have National Health Insurance, most routine gynecology is well covered.
Is my visit confidential?
Yes. Your visit and your records stay private, and you choose how we contact you. If you have specific privacy concerns, tell the staff at the start and they'll work with you.
Can I come alone, or bring someone with me?
Either is fine. Bring a partner or a friend if it helps, or come on your own — whatever makes you most comfortable.
